Over the past week we've been experimenting in Final Cut Pro with all of the effects and transitions and editing our scavenger hunt videos. At first, I was having trouble keeping up with all the differences from iMovie, but overall I find it to be easier and way cooler. There are endless possibilities on what you can do on Final Cut. We did many cool things to our videos. We added effects to each shot as well as transitions in between each shot. We put music in the background and added text of what each shot was. It didn't take too long and I actually thought it was overall pretty simple and fun. I really enjoyed learning how to edit on this super cool editing software!

This week we did a video scavenger hunt and I actually really enjoyed walking around the school and filming all different kinds of shots. We had to get ten different shots of specific things-some were tight, medium, and wide. One of the tasks was to record a wide shot of someone shaking hands with a police officer which was cool and we also had to film some of the construction outside as well as art work and trophy cases at Ladue High School. The only main problem or difficulty I faced was when I had to record the snack machines in the commons because the reflections kept getting in the way. I just had to adjust the camera angle a bit but that was still a struggle for me that I need to work on practicing how to fix. A few things that went very well were recording art work and recording students working on computers in the library because I feel pretty good about my shots for those. I really liked spending the entire class independently getting our shots with our groups because I found it very fun, but I also learned a lot about videography. Overall this video scavenger hunt was super fun and I'm excited to work more with my shots I took on Final Cut Pro.
I really enjoyed making my iAm movie trailer project. In my video, I included some videos of my team and I dancing at a pep rally and a football game and I thought it added a nice transition from the pictures. I liked that while watching the videos from everyone during class, I got to learn a lot about my classmates. The only thing I disliked is that it was a bit hard to follow the iMovie trailer templat and make my movie the way I wanted to, but it worked out in the end. Overall, I had a fun time making this project and I learned a lot.
