Over the past couple of weeks in Broadcast Tech 1 we have been working on filming, editing, and perfecting our interview projects that are finally finished! This project involved a lot of brainstorming on how we can make a great video by interviewing an expert. For my interview, I used my friend Shirley Gelman (Laduettes Dance Team Senior Captain) to ask her some questions about what it is like to go to a typical dance practice and be on the National Champions of 2016 dance team. I had my two friends Ellie and Jamie help me interview Shirley and to do that we used a nice camera on a tripod as well as a microphone set to really capture the sound quality and give the video interview feels. I edited my video in Final Cut Pro and focused on making my three sound bits very strong and clean as well as the audio. I'm very happy with the turnout of my video and I want to thank Shirley for being the expert I could interview!

In class we've been practicing how to film a proper interview. It is a bit hard because there are so many aspects to recording a good interview. You have to make sure your camera is at an angle, the subject is at eye level to the interviewer, the sound is clear, the quality of the camera is decent and not blurry as well many other little things. Interviewing is super fun but just a little difficult to remember to incorporate all of the little things. I am going to be filming my interview tomorrow during class. Shirley Gelman (Laduette) will be telling me about Nationals she attended last week!
