For the first news package of 2020, Hannah, Elijah, and I collaborated to make videos about the J league basketball games. We all took a different perspective so I filmed the point of view of the crowd. We went to a Saturday afternoon game and filmed a bunch of B-roll of the game as well as B-roll of the audience. We then interviewed two girls to ask them about why they come and what they like about the J league basketball games. We got what we needed but I definitely think we could've gotten more footage of the crowd's experience as well as more interviews to make it more diverse. We had a few troubles throughout the process such as not being able to have as many interviews as we would've liked because a few people we asked did not want to be interviewed. It was also very loud in the gym and people wanted to watch the game so it was difficult to film up close during because we did not want to be in the way of anyone trying to watch. As for the video editing, it was a little bit stressful because it was the first video I did completely by myself. Usually Hannah and I are able to work together so it was a bit hard to get started but I think I got the hang of it and it turned out OK. I think they will be better in the future. Overall, it was a fun topic to film a news package on and one that I think people will be interested in if it makes Ladue View!
