I cannot believe it is already senior year. High school has flown by and I really think that Laduettes has been a huge reason why. We as a team are approaching the 2019 football season. We have spent the summer working on technique, learning choreography, cleaning dances, and preparing all of our sidelines for games! I think my team and I are in a great place right now, but I have to say, earlier this summer I definitely struggled and stressed. Our addition of 10 new girls was a difficult adjustment at the beginning. I didn't realize how much more work my co-captains and I would have to do because of our large team. Luckily enough, the girls worked so hard and I am truly impressed by their improvement. Not to mention how outgoing and comfortable they became, which created amazing bonds and friendships throughout the team. As a senior and a captain, the most important thing I wanted for my team was to be close and feel like a family. There is nothing better than having 23 best friends that spend every afternoon together, and I can honestly say we have already achieved that and it is only August! I am so excited to see what football season has in store for us.
